TAP’s story began with a vision to support small businesses and empower entrepreneurs with the tools they need to thrive. Starting with a small team of dedicated individuals, TAP quickly grew and evolved to serve small businesses across various industries, transforming the way they operate and grow. 

2012

Official Launch

TAP is incorporated and receives nonprofit status, establishing its mission to support small businesses through expert consulting and strategic resources.

2016

First Speed Consulting Workshop

TAP launches its signature Speed Consulting Workshop, delivering focused, high-impact guidance to help small business owners address their most pressing challenges.

2017

First Paid Hire

TAP hires its first paid employee, marking a key step in building long-term organizational capacity.

2019

National Expansion

TAP expands nationally with 5 paid staff, 94 volunteer consultants, and over 200 businesses served—broadening its reach and deepening its impact.

2020

Crisis Response

In response to COVID-19, TAP launches Emergency Services and pivots to virtual delivery, supporting more than 6,000 small businesses nationwide.

2021

Curated Coaching with Chase for Business

TAP partners with Chase for Business to launch Curated Coaching, offering nearly 5,000 entrepreneurs tailored support and educational tools to grow their businesses.

2023

SBA Appointment

CEO Jane Veron is appointed to the SBA’s Investment Capital Advisory Committee, a national body focused on advancing small business success.

2024

National Recognition

CEO Jane Veron received the Visionary Catalyst Award, the Betty Cook Award, and was named to City & State New York’s Nonprofit Trailblazers list, honoring her leadership and impact on small business growth.

2025

Scaling Impact Through Community

TAP reaches 62,550 consultant volunteer hours contributed to date in support of thousands of small businesses, with our consultant network growing to 221 across 25 states and 3 countries.
