DORA VARDIS
Dora Vardis is a Managing Director, Senior Relationship Manager, Citi Markets Financial Institutions Sales and Solutions. Dora is responsible for building increased firm-to-firm trust and partnership, growing strategic dialogue, improving client experience and driving deeper commercial connectivity with key asset management, wealth management and macro hedge fund clients of Citi’s Rates, Equity, Global Spread Product, Commodity, FX, Prime Finance and Securities Services businesses. In this role, Dora also coordinates closely with internal partners in the Citi Institutional Client Group (ICG) to deliver “one Citi” to clients.
Dora joined Citi legacy firm Salomon Brothers in 1994 as an Associate on the Foreign Exchange institutional macro sales team. Dora was a very strong contributor of growth in the FX business, developing significant new FX relationships in the Brazilian investment management client segment. She was also responsible for global macro sales coverage of key leveraged Investors in the US and UK, along with SWFs and Central Banks in Asia. Dora transitioned to the Markets Relationship Management role in 2017. Dora’s previous work experience includes American Express Bank (AEB) where she began as a research analyst in Strategic Planning, and subsequently became a Director in the Treasury. Prior to AEB, Dora was the assistant to the Ambassador of the Seychelles to the United Nations during the 44th UN General Assembly.
Dora earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1994 and a BA cum laude in Economics from Wheaton College (Norton, MA). She is the founder and senior sponsor of the Citi Markets Women Student Mentorship Program and plays a very active leadership role in the recruitment of women and diversity candidates for the Markets division at Citi.
