The Acceleration Project (TAP) is a non-profit organization that empowers under-resourced small business owners and accelerates their growth through high-impact and customized strategic, financial, operational, and marketing support. Our team of experienced professionals and high-caliber consultants works hand in hand with these owners to unlock pathways to wealth creation and economic mobility.
PURPOSE
TAP stands apart from other organizations by offering small business owners a deep and customized approach. Leveraging rigorous training and proprietary tools, our more than 200 predominantly female consultants deliver bespoke strategic, financial, operational, and marketing support to empower small business success, creating an exponential impact on entrepreneurs, their families, and their local communities. TAP's mission-driven approach effectively redirects and channels talent back into the economy.

Official Launch
TAP is incorporated and receives nonprofit status, establishing its mission to support small businesses through expert consulting and strategic resources.

First Speed Consulting Workshop
TAP launches its signature Speed Consulting Workshop, delivering focused, high-impact guidance to help small business owners address their most pressing challenges.
2017
First Paid Hire
TAP hires its first paid employee, marking a key step in building long-term organizational capacity.
2019
National Expansion
TAP expands nationally with 5 paid staff, 94 volunteer consultants, and over 200 businesses served—broadening its reach and deepening its impact.
2020
Crisis Response
In response to COVID-19, TAP launches Emergency Services and pivots to virtual delivery, supporting more than 6,000 small businesses nationwide.

Curated Coaching with Chase for Business
TAP partners with Chase for Business to launch Curated Coaching, offering nearly 5,000 entrepreneurs tailored support and educational tools to grow their businesses.
2023
National Recognition
CEO Jane Veron is appointed to the SBA’s Investment Capital Advisory Committee, a national body focused on advancing small business success.
