Joan Brothers is the founding partner of Manhattan Boutique Real Estate (MBRE). She has been helping clients navigate New York residential and commercial real estate for 20+ years. Listed in the Best for NYC Program, MBRE was awarded Best of Manhattan Award, as a boutique residential real estate firm, for two years in a row.
Active in real estate development, Joan has raised capital both in equity and debt from institutional investors and has served as a consultant to Uptown Partners developers on Harlem’s well-known condominiums 5th on the Park and The Lenox. Joan also pursues creative ventures such as promoting artists at One Art Space and starting Smart NY Solutions Inc., a digital solutions technology firm for real estate Most recently, she co-authored “Women in Business - Leading the Way,” an Amazon #1 bestseller.
Joan earned an international MBA from The Barney Business School (Paris) and University of Hartford, and a BA from Boston College. She continues her real estate education at Schack School of Real Estate at NYU. She serves on numerous boards including the East Midtown Neighborhood Coalition. Joan is an active member of the Asia Society, Civitas, China Institute, The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), and Sutton Area Community (SAC).
