Mark Brown-Barnes

Mark Brown-Barnes is an operations leader, business strategist, and lifelong learner based in Washington, DC, with a career rooted in discipline, service, and measurable impact. With experience across aviation, airport concessions, logistics, and e-commerce, Mark has led teams and initiatives focused on operational excellence, people development, process improvement, cost reduction, vendor performance, and stakeholder collaboration.

Currently serving as an Operations Manager with Fraport USA, where he leads efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, improve reporting accuracy, optimize vendor partnerships, and support community-centered initiatives. His work has included helping reduce costs, improve delivery performance, and facilitate a partnership that redirected more than 2,000 confiscated TSA items to charitable organizations. His prior experience includes leadership roles with GoPuff, UPS, and American Airlines, where he managed large teams, improved performance metrics, and supported high-volume operations.

Mark brings a strong business foundation, legal training, and executive governance education to his work. He holds an MBA and has completed executive governance training through the University of Pennsylvania’s Diverseforce On Boards program. He is especially passionate about the intersection of business, leadership, infrastructure, and community impact, and is committed to helping organizations operate with both excellence and purpose.
