Randi  Meehan Zeller is a former lawyer now working as an independent consultant to support small business access to affordable capital.

Randi had a 35-year legal career highlighted by her roles at the global consulting firms McKinsey & Company, where she served as Deputy General Counsel for 20+ years, and Kearney, where she served as General Counsel. Her expertise includes corporate board governance best practices and fiduciary duties under US and UK law, corporate and contract law, litigation management, employment and labor law, global risk and security management (including program and policy development and implementation, coordinating crisis response, and professional and reputation risk management.)

During her tenure at McKinsey, Randi was a long-time member of the Firm’s Technology Committee, and a member of the firm’s committee for managing professional risks. She also served as primary counsel to the firm’s private equity practice, and to the board of the McKinsey Investment Office, which then had more than $5 billion under management. Randi started and led McKinsey’s security function including business continuity planning.

Randi had multiple leadership roles at Kearney. She was a key CEO advisor on risk issues, served as general counsel, started, and led the security and enterprise risk functions, and managed the insurance function. Randi also was a member of the Senior Leadership Team that operated the firm and co-led board initiatives on executive compensation, diversity, strategy, and governance.

After leaving the practice of law, Randi became a fellow at the Stanford Distinguished Career Institute, where she learned about and became passionate about supporting small business as the most significant way to address social and income inequality in our country.

Following completion of the Stanford fellowship, Randi became part of the CASE task force that created the California Rebuilding Fund, the state's primary pandemic loan fund to support small businesses there. She also joined and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of CAMEO Network, the membership association of California microlenders.   In the last few years Randi worked with Mobility Capital Finance to develop a digital banking product to support small businesses in bank deserts, and with Community Reinvestment Fund USA on expanding their partnerships with states and corporations to provide affordable capital to small business. She currently works an independent consultant to the small business ecosystem to improve small business access to affordable capital and technical assistance.
