TAP SMALL BUSINESS OWNER OF THE YEAR – 2025
TAP’s 2025 Small Business Owner of the Year: MJ Renovation Group
Each year, The Acceleration Project honors one client who exemplifies excellence, resilience, and transformational leadership. The Small Business Owner of the Year award celebrates a founder who not only grows their business but also lifts their team, strengthens their community, and embodies the spirit of TAP.
This year we are proud to honor MJ Renovation Group, led by Jeniffer Salas and Marlon Mora in Orlando, Florida.
When Jeniffer came to TAP, she was ready to take her construction business to the next level. She wanted to shift from primarily residential work to a more profitable commercial client base. She was also managing the day to day demands of running a growing business while being the sole provider for her family and a support system for her team. As Jeniffer said in her own words:
“I’m the only provider for my family and I’m also providing for seven other families who work with MJ Renovation. Every day I wake up with that responsibility. TAP gave me the tools to do it with clarity and confidence.”
Through TAP’s Deep Dive program, Jeniffer and Marlon partnered with consultants Kelly McMenamin and Noha Carrington to rework their pricing model, conduct a market analysis, and create a roadmap to scale.
The results speak for themselves:
Jeniffer’s story is more than just numbers. She is a trailblazer. A Latina entrepreneur and woman in construction who uses her platform to advocate for others.
“As a woman in construction, trust me, nothing can scare me. I want to be a channel for my community. I’m always there to help other Hispanic entrepreneurs. TAP helped me believe in what’s possible and now I want to pass it forward.”
